The company KTM, based in Mattighofen, began manufacturing motorcycles as early as 1953. In the 1990s, the Austrian manufacturer experienced a resurgence and went public. While KTM has become indispensable in the off-road segment since then, the company is also gaining increasing importance on the road.
Successes in Motorsport
The successful participation in MotoGP, Moto 2, and Moto 3 forms the spearhead of KTM's commitment to motorsport. Especially in Moto 3, KTM is strongly represented, as almost half of the field of riders in this class starts with the Austrian brand.
Expansion of the Portfolio
In 2013, KTM took over the brand Husqvarna, and since 2019, the Spanish trial and enduro manufacturer GasGas has also been part of the company portfolio. But KTM is not only represented on two wheels but also on four. The X-Bow is now indispensable and was the first car with a fully carbon monocoque for driver and passenger.
