BMW S 1000 RR Racing 2015
BMW has significantly upgraded its S 1000 RR after five years of production for the 2015 model year. The BMW S 1000 RR Racing (from 2015) has been completely redesigned and appears with a more dynamic design language and newly positioned and shaped headlights. The latter provides a noticeably different, more aggressive look.
Performance Enhancement and Technical Improvements
BMW has significantly upgraded the one-liter four-cylinder with the new model year: An increase of six horsepower now results in 146 kW/199 PS, and the maximum torque increases by 1 to 113 Nm.
Furthermore, the performance boost is backed by a revision of the cylinder heads, a new intake camshaft, lighter intake valves, and an optimization of the airbox and intake channels. The topic of "power-to-weight ratio" has also been addressed from two sides. A lighter, power- and torque-enhancing exhaust system alone has contributed to a 3 kg weight reduction.
