Ducati's V4 Grantourismo Motor: The 4th Generation

The 4th generation V4 Grantourismo Motor propels Ducati into the realm of super tourers with unmatched power and innovation. With a counter-rotating crankshaft and Twin Pulse ignition sequence, this powerhouse delivers a remarkable 170 HP at 10,500 RPM. Despite doubling the cylinder count from two to four, the V4 engine is 1.2 kg lighter than its predecessor from the V2 generation. At a standstill, the rear two cylinders are automatically deactivated to reduce fuel consumption and minimize heat radiation towards the rider.
Advancements in Assistance Systems
Not only has the engine seen significant improvements, but the assistance systems have also made remarkable strides. In addition to the Bosch cornering ABS known from the Panigale V4, the rider is supported by further electronics. In the S version, the suspension can be lowered with the Ducati Skyhook Suspension Evo at low speeds to enable safer maneuvering and handling. An additional radar system at the front and rear of the motorcycle allows for features such as adaptive cruise control and a blind spot assistant.
