With a true bang, Ducati heralds a new era in Bolognese engine construction with its new supersport flagship. The end of the V2 era in the supersport Ducatis had already been hinted at since the appearance of the Panigale 1299 V2 "Final Edition," but those who thought there could be no more superlatives were proven wrong at the EICMA.
The key data of the new racer from Bologna read like the profile of a World Championship-capable superbike: With 214 HP at 198 kilograms, the new Ducati Panigale V4 puts everything previously seen in series production in the shade. The new spearhead at Ducati's superbike front is offered in three variants: as Panigale V4, V4 S, with the usual Öhlins finery, forged wheels, and sharpened electronics, as well as Panigale V4 Speciale with special Ducati Performance carbon parts straight from the factory.
