Ducati's superbike flagship, the 1199 Panigale, has been on the market since 2012. Since 2013, the smaller sister, Panigale 899, has also been making waves. The Ducati 1199 Panigale replaces the Ducati 1198 SP. Not only does the design set standards, but the completely newly designed 90-degree V2 engine from Ducati can also be described as the spearhead in twin-cylinder engine construction.
Many innovations have been implemented with the Panigale, such as the extremely short-stroke design of the engine (Superquadro) or the completely self-supporting engine. The special model "Superleggera" sets a highlight: high-quality materials such as titanium, tungsten, magnesium, and carbon are used. The power of the Superleggera is specified at about 205 hp!
Since 2015, the Panigale 1299 has been the top dog. Thanks to the increased displacement, its power has grown to a breathtaking 200 hp and a torque of about 140 Nm.
